About:The Huskie Cheerleading team is starting it's 17th season and is excited to take on another run for a Championship. In a few short sentences: this is our team. We recruit 20 athletes (about 12 females and 8 boys) who train 2-3 times a week working on stunting, tumbling, jumps and dance. Goal: throwing as many girls in the air, flipping, twisting and making as many pretty shapes as possible for 270 seconds timed to music and if we are still standing we use our last breath to perform to our judges and WIN! Our team is privileged to be financially supported by many, many local sponsors. Our traveling for 2009-2010 includes Nationals in Toronto, UPA Nationals in Minneapolis, and several local competitions and demonstrations. If you make our team you will work hard, you will have fun and you will make your university experience better.
